Multilingualism For All
The Bellevue School District is committed to providing an equitable, accessible, and inclusive learning environment for all students. Through our language program offerings, we actively value and respect the diverse identities and backgrounds of students. Through innovative curriculum and program development, we ensure that the value of multilingualism becomes a vital component of a student's educational experience. We aim to foster greater linguistic proficiency among our community along with an understanding for global culture and heritage. This reflects our belief that access to diverse linguistic opportunities is essential to fostering a beloved community.
We offer distinguished programs in Spanish and Mandarin, middle and high school world language offerings and unique language opportunities in Arabic, Korean and Hindi.

The Bellevue School District is delighted to announce that the elementary Japanese Dual Language Program will be launched at Bennett Elementary School starting in the 2025-2026 school year. Families can begin to apply for kindergarten and first grade starting on Monday, December 9, 2024.

The Open Transfer and Choice Schools/Program application period for the 2025-2026 school year will open on Monday, December 9, 2024, at 9:00 a.m. The application period will close on Friday, January 17, 2025, at 4:00 p.m.

World Language Competency Credits - Interlake High School February 26, 2025 – 7:45 a.m. check-in
- Registration Closing Date: February 9, 2025
- Who can test: ONLY Interlake High School
- Testing Location*: Interlake High School Library
